Mitchell is a Sydney based musician, composer and producer who sings and plays guitar, bass, keyboards, harmonica, drums/percussion and almost any instrument you put in front of him.

After studying at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music (Bachelor of Composition) he toured Australia and internationally in many bands playing a wide variety of musical styles. Over the years he has enjoyed numerous residencies in Sydney including a five year stint at the Hard Rock Café, Sydney.

Mitchell has performed, toured with and/or been musical director for some of Australia’s finest performers including David Campbell, Shannon Noll, Casey Donovan, Marcus Corowa, Joe Moore and Andy Clockwise.  He has also played support for INXS and Eskimo Joe.

He has extensive experience with corporate and private functions and  highlights include Myer Summer Fashion Show with Jennifer Hawkins, Spring Carnivale, The Australian Design Awards, GHD Hair Awards, Mardi Gras and Hair Expo.

Mitchell is part of the band ‘Bow and Arrow’ and has released a number of singles including ‘Return to Me’, ‘Don’t Play Roulette in Russia’ and ‘Midnight’ and more recently “Triad” and “7 Forces”.  Their music has had national airplay on TRIPLE J and festival sets for Homeground, Corroboree, Spirit Festival, Fringe Festival Adelaide and Big Sound.

Mitchell has taught singing at Sydney Vocal Arts, Newtown High School of the Performing Arts and Mosman High School. He teaches singing, guitar and directs the  Purple Moon Community Choir, Voicemale Mens Choir (Mosman) and Reignite (teens choir) all under the banner of Sydney Vocal Arts Centre.
